Desert Essence 100 Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil is an inherently antiseptic essential oil organically, free of herbicides, pesticides or chemicals.

Initially, I was using this as a diluted toner, but now I prefer to only spot treat because I'm only having problems on my forehead. I'm not really sure if it's actually doing anything to get rid of the pimples themselves, but once one ruptures, it does a fantastic job of healing them. It definitely speeds up the healing process. In the past, when any of my pimples popped, it would take a good week or so to heal, but this shortened the healing time to only a couple of days.

I am so happy with this stuff - it is like three products in one. I've used it on an allergic rash I got from eating a certain food. It IMMEDIATELY stopped the itching as soon as I applied it (way faster than hydrocortisone), it brought down the redness of the rash within minutes (better than any salicylic or peroxide based product), and it kept the skin from getting infected so that it could heal quickly (equal to or better than any antibiotic ointment). The natural scent IS very strong, and it was just on the borderline for me in fearing it might kick up an asthma attack - I definitely only used this in a well ventilated area! Within 30 minutes the smell was mostly gone from my skin; it does not smell pretty. I'm going to start using this stuff for blemishes when I get them too!

Cured my daughter's ringworm in 5 days flat, when applied twice a day, undiluted, with a Q-tip. Also cured my husband's toenail fungus in six months, after him having rotten toenails for ten years. I myself don't mind the smell; potent, yes, but herbal, and I can live with it no problem. (Think strong eucalyptus.)

Only caveat: if you have reactive skin, do not apply it to the face full strength right off the bat. My daughter has occasional eczema outbreaks, and when I dabbed a bit on a new patch of ringworm starting on her cheek, her face broke out in an eczema rash that took over a week to cool down. But overall for something so simple, it's amazingly effective, and inexpensive, too.
